PECHET and ROBB studio limited

Stephanie Robb

Stephanie Robb received her undergraduate degree in Fine and Performing Art (with a visual art concentration) from Simon Fraser University in 1985, and her graduate degree in Architecture from the University of British Columbia School of Architecture in 1989. Stephanie worked for several years in market and non-market housing and custom single family residential design before forming a design partnership with Bill Pechet in 1995.

Stephanie brings to each project a breadth of imagination and knowledge. With almost 20 years of experience, Stephanie is skilled in project design, management and implementation, including liaising with municipal agencies and conducting public consultation. She has had the opportunity to explore significant issues in architecture and urban design through teaching.

In addition to her work at Pechet and Robb, Stephanie is a frequent guest critic at the UBC School of Architecture, where she has been a sessional lecturer and participated on numerous thesis committees. She is particularily interested in the margins of kitsch and orthodox design which led to the renovation of the Lakewood Residence, with the follow up design tutorial and exhibition on the transformation of the "Vancouver Special".

Stephanie Robb is a member of the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada.
