FCEC Stacks Our studio designed the emissions stacks for the recently completed False Creek Energy Centre in Southeast False Creek, Vancouver. Five finger-like stainless steel stacks are topped with finger-nail like LED fixtures that glow relative to the facility’s heat output – blue/cool to red/hot. This large work is located at the south Cambie Street bridgehead.
Granville Street Redesign We are currently working in collaboration with PWL Partnership Landscape Architects on the redesign of 10 blocks of Granville Street in Downtown Vancouver. Ponte Formaggio Our studio provided concept sketches to PWL Partnership landscape Architects for Hinge Park in Southeast False Creek. One of the park elements, the Ponte Formaggio, was featured on the cover of February 2010 issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine.
The Pier-2 The Pier precinct, located in North Vancouver's former Burrard shipyard has entered its second phase of redevelopment. Along with the our already completed benches, walkways and site furnishings, Pechet and Robb is adding a large covered rolled steel stage structure, more furnishings, custom lighting fixtures, plaza surfaces, and a public art work called "the big drawer". We have a long-standing and successful collaboration with Durante Kreuk Landscape Architects on this large project.
The Pier-1 Recently our studio was honoured with a Public Art Award of Excellence for Pier Fixtures, The Pier Phase 1 presented by the Office of Cultural Affairs, City of North Vancouver.
The Woods-2 Our studio has been retained to design a second phase to The Woods Columbaria at Capilano View Cemetery, in West Vancouver. The Woods-2 will include over 800 new interment spaces, covered by large floating roof structures; reminiscent of sheltering wings.
